Color Coding Made Easy

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of BIC 4-Color pen for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

So I know that as a college student I am always looking for the best pens to take notes with. Personally I am super crazy about my notes and I love for them to be color coded because then when I go back to study I already have the important parts marked. The only hard thing about color coding is that I usually end up with 1 black pen and 5 highlighters on my desk, which takes up a lot of space and it isn't easy to keep switching between them.

Enter the BIC® 4-Color Pen. It has 4 Inseparable Colors in 1 Pen. Awesome right? I can have one pen that meets all my color coding needs, with out having a ton of stuff on my desk.

Also as a college student I know that I am always looking for cost friendly options for my notetaking as well and the BIC® 4-Color Pen is less than $6 for 3 for Amazon and Staples. That's less than two dollars a pen, and they come with four different colors EACH! That's such a steal for something that takes up less space while still giving you a ton of color coding options.

But let's be real here, as college students we don't just use our pens for taking notes. We like to doodle in the margins or spin them for fun. I know that as a former member of my high school debate team pen spinning was a huge thing even though I was never good at it. But there is a really cool video of the BIC® 4-Color pen showing how it is perfect for spinning in class.

They also have another cool video showing someone trying to use two colors at the same time, which be honest we've all tried to do.

Those were great right? Isn't it awesome how each different color has a different personality? Green is jealous of the others, but still has a soft side. Red is very punctual and likes it when things go his way. Blue is the guy in charge, and black feels left out because he thinks he is just as good as blue but doesn't get chosen very often.

Now I bet you are wondering what color I would probably use the most. It would probably be red, mostly because I'm a total english nerd. Red is perfect for making things stand out just like it's perfect for marking corrections on papers. It's bold and you know that when you mark something in red by golly it's important.

If you want to find out more about the BIC® 4-Color pen and the personalities behind them you can follow them on Facebook. Or if you just want witty updates from the personalities behind the colors of the BIC® 4- Color pen you can follow them on Twitter. Either way make sure you go snap one of these bad boys up because they are the latest and greatest note taking tool that every college student should have!

Lusting After New Hair

The temps have finally started staying around the 80's and it is GLORIOUS. It's so nice to be able to wear shorts and sandals, and to put away all my winter clothes. But this warm weather also has me lusting after a change in my hair for the spring and upcoming summer.

So here is some of my spring/summer hair inspiration.

For some reason I just like the red streak in her hair. It's fun and adds an unexpected pop of color. But unfortunately since i'm looking for an internship for the summer it's probably not the most practical.
This is the length that I want, because right now my hair is pretty long. But while I didn't want to go too much shorter I feel like this is a pretty good balance.

I like this picture for the color and the thick bangs. I am thinking that I really want to add more blonde into my hair because 1. I've never done a lot of blonde before & 2. Because it's very summery!

I like this picture once again for the bangs, and also for the layers. I like the choppy messy look that it has to it.

So there you have it! My spring/ Summer hair inspiration. Check back later this week to see my new haircut and color, I can't wait to share it! Am I the only one that likes to change their hair during the spring/ summer? Tell me about it in the comments!

Mini Desk Makeover

So the other day I realized that my desk was a complete disaster and needed a quick refresh to make it more functional. My desk is really small comparing to some desks and while I like that it is small it also means that if I let it get out of control then it gets crazy. One textbook becomes five and then suddenly my keyboard is sitting in my lap and I'm trying to make sure nothing falls off while I'm working on something.

This is the before:

From the old Whataburger cup to the stack of books and my iPad my desk was just not working. Then there is the big pile of junk you see on the floor. Well less than 30 minutes later I had a clean more organized desk and no more junk just laying on the floor.

This is after:

Like I said a little refresh makes a big difference. I also picked up this awesome basket from Target yesterday to corral my school books and binders to keep them from getting either left on the desk on strewn all over the floor. It's just so much better and makes me smile. Also if you can't tell by my school basket i'm obsessed with tabbing the chapters in my books #crazyaboutlabeling. Can't beat a clean desk and floor in under 30 minutes. Do you ever go on random little cleaning sprees?

Favorites Lately

Since it's Friday and I feel like I have been absent from blogging for a while, I wanted to share some of my favorites.

1. This iPad case. Holy goodness! This is the most versitle amazing case ever. I can serisouly not rave about it enough. Speaking of raving about it, there will be a post next week about all the awesome stuff that this case can do and more reasons why I like it so much.

2. The Vampire Diaries. If you want to know more about my current obsession with this show check out my Netflix review that I did last week.

3. This red streak in Elena's (Nina Dobrev) hair. I'm considering adding a red streak to my hair as a part of my summer hair. (Should I? Weigh in about it in the comments!)

4. These pants that I snagged from Ross. They feel like silk amazing-ness, and are right up there in comfort with yoga pants. They were also a total steal at $12! Thank you Ross!

5. My new cup with a straw. First off why are these cups so amazing? There is something about drinking everything out of a straw that just makes it better. Besides that they cup is purple. HOLLA.

6. The fact that a ton of Targets shoes are on sale. Which I took advantage of and ordered those two adorable pairs of wedges that you see up there. I can not wait for them to get here!

7. The song "Talk Dirty" by Jason Derulo

SGA Elections

So I have been working the past week to get ready for Student Government elections at my school. I have been looking for something to get involved in since I transferred and I knew that this was just what I was looking for. So I got my application in, made some campaign posters, and then waited for the official elections to take place. I am excited to announce that I will be an SGA senator next year!

This is what I wore for the official elections:

The dress is from Ross, the blazer is from Nordstorms, and the black heels I have had for forever.

This is a cute instagram collage that I created while I was still waiting for the results. Thankfully it didn't take that long we knew the results by the afternoon which was great so that I didn't have to spend a lot of time waiting and wondering. So I am excited to have found an organization to be involved in next year because they help me stay focused on my schoolwork and grades. Mostly because bad grades ='s not being able to be involved. Yay for motivation!

Pep-Plum <3

So I found this AH-MAZING new nail polish that I have been wanting to tell you about. It's called Pep-Plum and it is just a fantastic shade of purple that I adore.

First of all let's talk about the cost. This polish was under $3 at Target which is a winner in my book. You really can't beat that price for a good quality polish in a shade that is perfect for spring and summer.

Next I want to show you two different ways that I have experimented with this polish so far.

First I just painted them regularly.

While I really like the polish it does take at least two coats for it to reach its full color. But that is not necessarily a bad thing it just takes a little more work on your part, but for this color it is totally worth it.

Another way I painted them which is how I am wearing them currently is as a french manicure. When I first thought of this idea I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, but once I finished I decided I really liked it. It's different and I like how some of my natural nail gets to show through.

All in all if you are looking for a great spring/summer polish I would definately reccomend that you go for this one. Is there anyone else out there like me that just can not stand not having their nails painted? It's like a requirment for me, haha.

Netflix Review: The Vampire Diaries

So I may quite possibly have become obsessed with a new show and then proceeded to watch 4 and half seasons in about a week. That show is The Vampire Diaries! Oh my goodness, if you haven't watched this you need to STAT. I remember that I had actually probably watched the first season when it originally premiered but then lost track of the show. I had a ton of fun getting caught up and now I plan to keep on watching it as it continues.

This show is for you if:
1. You love vampires.
2. You like Ian Somerhalder.
3. You like shows with drama and a romance story.
4. You don't mind a little bit of gore.

Whew, just look at this fantastic cast. They really do a great job of making the show believable and they just all seem to complement each other very well.

In case you were already an avid watcher of this show, I totally pick Delena over Stefan and Elena.

See!? They are just so perfect together. They just might be my all time favorite TV couple. (SWOON)

And I want to finish off with this beautiful picture of the guys and Elena.

If you are looking for something new to watch on Netflix definitely consider checking this out because it is a GREAT show that you won't regret watching.
