- Broadcast Communications is my college major, and I also have an Associates degree in English. So from junior college to my 4 year I made a pretty significant change in my major. But I'm still glad to have that degree in English because it has really helped me a lot with writing both on here and in my current college classes.

2. Best purchase you've made lately?
- Probably my two new Vera purses. The Saddle Hipster in Julep Tulip & the Tablet Hipster in Clementine. Aren't they just adorable? :)

3. Something silly we don't know about you and go...
- I enjoy watching the different versions of Say Yes to the Dress on Netflix, whether its wedding dresses or bridesmaids dresses I just enjoying watching it.

4. Favorite Holiday?
- Honestly i've always really loved Christmas.

5. The first thing you do when you wake up?
- Either get a drink of water or check my phone, haha.

Aprenda Español Con Duolingo

As you've probably noticed the title of this post is in Spanish. That is because I have found a great resource that I want to share with y'all. Whether you are a student that will need to learn or is currently learning Spanish, or someone who just wants to learn in for personal benefit this can definitely help you. I personally have struggled with Spanish. I took two years in high school, and another two in college and still only managed to pick up basic words and phrases. For me learning another language is extremely hard, and so far this tool that I have found makes it extremely easy and it doesn't feel overwhelming. I found this app because I am going to have to take Spanish again starting this upcoming fall semester and I want to go in to it with a decent amount of knowledge so that hopefully I won't struggle with it as much as I have in the past. Without further adieu let me introduce you to Duolingo.

Via Forbes

Let me say first off the Duolingo is completely and 100% FREE. And that is saying a lot when many learn on your own language programs can cost up to $400! Crazy right? (I'm looking at you Rosetta Stone) Along with being 100% free they also have android, iPhone, and iPad apps (along with the desktop version) that are also 100% free to use. So not only can you learn Spanish, or one of the other 4 languages they also offer, but I can do it from the convenience of my iPhone or iPad as well.
Via Duolingo

This graphic above is from the Duolingo website and just shows a little bit about how the system works. I have used both the desktop site and the iPhone app so far and I think they both work great. In your lessons the way you learn things varies from you typing from english to spanish and vice versa, hearing phrases and typing them and even speaking a phrase to make sure you are pronouncing it correctly. Also you have the option to connect with Facebook and then you can connect and compete with friends, I think this is a great motivation tool because it makes it fun knowing you can compete with your friends and it motivates you to do your best.

Overall, I would highly recommend this app/ website for anyone trying to learn a language. The interface is great, its very user friendly and it actually makes learning a language fun. If something can make learning a language fun than it is definitely a winner in my book.

Just so you know this is no a sponsored post, it is just a website that I found and love and I highly encourage you to check it out if it seems like something you might like too!

Btw - the title translates to "Learning Spanish with Duoliingo." Look you're learning already!

Glasses Make Me Lazy

I think that most people believe that when people wear glasses, it makes them seems more intelligent and motivated. Personally I used to think this myself. That is until I went from wearing contacts every day to having to wear my glasses for about two weeks. First I has a sty on my right eyelid. I was like ok I can deal with this. I went to the eye doctor got some meds, and everything seemed to be fine and dandy. Then I went back to have a follow up and found out I had some irritation going on in my left eye. At this point i'm like well how do we fix it. So I get a lovely antibiotic eye drop that I get to use for the next week. Which still means no contacts. While I am very glad that my eye problems are all cleared up and I will get to wear my contacts soon I came to a realization after two straight weeks of wearing my glasses.

Glasses make me lazy.

Now don't get me wrong here I like my glasses (all 4 pairs of them that I own) and they are a huge step up from the awful glasses that I wore in high school which was before I was introduced to the beautiful things that are contacts. But wearing them every day, when I have nothing better to do that sit around and binge watch Netflix means that I spent ALOT of time in bed over the past two weeks. While I honestly love lounging around and laying in bed as much as anyone else I am so over it. I never knew that something as small as putting my contacts on was something that really motivated me to do things throughout the day. So since I am looking forward to wearing my contacts again I wanted to make a list of some things that I really want to do after two weeks of extreme laziness.

1. Workout! To be honest I actually did try to do this, I just wanted to do some light walking on the treadmill but the one at our apartment gym is out of order. Bummer. So I want to do some more working out and if the treadmill is still broken then i'll probably walk outside.

2. Put on makeup. I know it's another small thing but even just a little bit helps me feel better throughout the day.

3. Hang out with my sister. This is already happening either way but I wanted to include it on this list. And it'll be great to have some girl time with my little sis!

4. Make sure to get everything squared away for my summer class that starts in a couple of weeks, along with finalizing my classes for the fall semester. IMPORTANT, IMPORTANT.

5. Go swimming! I want to go swimming so badly, I have a pool float and a floppy hat that are just wanting to get some pool time, this is definitely happening this week.

So those are just a few things I plan to do this next week to pull myself out of the lazy rut that i've been in. What kind of things do you do when you need to get out of a lazy streak? Tell me about it in the comments!

#SCANDALOBSESSED

Can we talk about how awesome this show is?! And also why I have utterly no idea why it took me so long to watch it? I've heard about it, but never really knew what it was about. Then the other day I was like heck its on Netflix I might as well try it out and see how it is. Next thing I knew it....I WAS HOOKED. I devoured season after season, and season 3 was probably my favorite because it was constantly evolving and shocking me.

If you have not watched this show, DO IT. I did and have never looked back. Now to eagerly wait and anticipate the upcoming season. YAYYAYYAYYAY.

- Fangirl Out -

Moving on.......

Can we also talk about how amazing Olivia Pope's ( the main character ) wardrobe is? I want it alllllll.

She always looks so perfectly put together, and has the most fantastic coats! If you watch the show you will totally understand.

Also on another note, do jobs like hers actually exist? Because if so I want job, PRONTO.
