My First Week in my new Erin Condren Planner

Hey guys! I know its been a bit since my last post work has kept me fairly busy over the last few months but it is finally slowing down a little bit so I have more time to devote to this little internet space of mine.

Starting today, I will be sharing my planner layouts so that yall can get an idea of what I like to include in my planner and how I plan out my week. I ordered the new Erin Condren 2015 - 2016 planner and it starts this week so this is my first week planning in my new planner! It's also a little bit of a change for me as I was using a plum paper planner for the past year. I loved the Plum Paper planner but after a year of using it the layout was just not working for everything that I needed.

Upon seeing the changes that were made to the Erin Condren planner for this year I felt like it would be the best to meet my planning needs. So without further adieu here are some pictures of this current week!

First off the outside of my planner. This is the cover that came with my planner as I ordered the regular RTS (ready to ship) planner. I actually swapped the back cover to the front and then just temporarily wrote my name on it with a sharpie because I wanted to personalize it a little bit.

Here is a shot of the first half of the week. As you can see i've pretty well planned out Monday (which i'd hope so considering Monday is almost over). But I am still putting things in for Tuesday and Wednesday. A few things I should be filling in tomorrow are meals (in the green boxes at the bottom) and finishing up my shopping list for a quick run to the store tomorrow. I am also experimenting with how I want to fill in the headers on the boxes as they are no longer prefilled.

These are a few accessories that I wanted to share with yall that I have been using in my planner. The new Erin Condren sticker book, the new EC markers, and I just love using the ruler to make it easy to filp to exactly where I am in the week.

So that is basically how it is going so far with the new planner. Overall i'm loving it and love how it is keeping me pretty organized so far. I also got some super cute stickers in the mail that I ordered today. They are from the Etsy shop Hello Ashleyann with you can check out here >>>> Hello Ashleyann

They are gorgeous and shipped way sooner the the ESD! I have always loved her stickers and these are no exception. I've already used the weekend and hydrate stickers and I can't wait to use the summer sticker set! I've ordered a few more stickers and planner accessories from a few other shops and I hope to be able to share those with you soon!

Delicious Dinner Rolls

Happy Friday Everyone!

I am here to share one of my recently discovered favorite recipes with you.

These are delicious and take hardly and time to whip up. What I love about them is that I can pretty much throw all the ingredients in my mixer with my dough hook and then I let them rise while I finish cooking dinner. So the original recipe is from here >>>>Kitchen Meets Girl

But i'm going to share it here along with the changes I made and what I do that results in those beautiful rolls you see pictured above.

The original recipe calls these "30 minute dinner rolls". With my changes these take about the same amount of time, which includes cooking for 10 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of warm water
  • ⅓ cup (6 TBSP) Melted Butter [REAL unsalted butter, not margarine]
  • 2 packets Rapid Rise Instant Yeast [I use Fleischmann's]
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 3½ cups  all-purpose flour

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees

Combine melted butter, sugar, and egg mix until combined (I do this by hand). Then combine the 2 packets of yeast with the 1 cup of warm water, give it a quick sir then toss it in with your butter, sugar, egg mixture. Next I add 2 cups of flour and pop it in my mixer with my dough hook on a medium speed until combined. *If you don't have a mixer you can do this by hand with a wooden spoon, I would not recommend doing this with a hand mixer as the dough is going to get quite thick. Then add the remaining amount of flour 1/2 cup at a time.

Now once the flour is fully incorporated I grab the dough and knead it with my hand just a little while forming it into a ball. Then I put it back in the mixing bowl cover it, preferably with a kitchen towel, and I set it on top of my warm oven for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes I then grab a cookie sheet and start forming my dough into 12 balls. The pop them in the oven for 10 minutes or until they are golden brown on the top. Brush with melted butter and proceed to stuff into your mouth. :D

I hope y'all enjoy this dinner roll recipe as much as I do! For newbies at using yeast this is about as easy and simple as it gets and it's pretty difficult to mess up, just remember WARM water (not scalding, or boiling).

ENJOY!
