Hey guys! I hope you are having a great weekend. I just wanted to pop in and participate in the Sunday Social with Neely over at A Complete Waste of Makeup. So here are this weeks questions:

1. What is the best New Years Eve you’ve ever had?

Honestly most of my NYE's have been spent pretty low key, either with family or just a few friends. I am excited to spend NYE this year with S though. :)

2. Are you doing anything for NYE this year and if so what?

I'm not entirely sure yet, haha. S and I may be attending a little get together with some of his friends.

3. Name a book we should all read come January? 

The Widow File. I actually have not finished reading it yet, but its really good and I am liking it so far.

4. What are your new years resolutions?

Start leading a healthier lifestyle

Gifts of Great Joy

It's Techie Tuesday and I am just here to share a quick tip with y'all since i've got some Christmas Eve celebrating to do. So if you are a big iPhone user you probably know that something that iPhone users have been waiting for was just released this past Sunday. The first jailbreak for iOS 7! Now I have never been that big into the whole jailbreak thing, but S is so I decided to try it out and jailbreak my iPad. Now honestly I haven't gotten a lot of use out of the jailbreak yet because they are still updating somethings, like the Cydia store which is where you can download tweaks for your iDevice. 

If you decide to go ahead and jailbreak your phone this biggest thing that you want to remember is to back up your device first. That way just in case something goes wrong you can always restore your phone with that back up.

Rocking Around the Christmas Tree

It's the week of everyone using Christmas lyrics as blog post titles (guilty raises hand), but hey there is no shame in that they make fantastic titles. So anyways I'm here to do a little weekend recap and share a cute Christmas graphic that I made from one of my favorite movie quotes. {Warning - lots of selfies!}

On Friday S brought me a Kit Kat home as a little surprise, and we took some cute pictures this weekend. :)

Sometimes when I put on my Ray-bans I like to pretend that I'm a cop. 

I took a few (a ton) of selfies this weekend to the point that S asked me how many pictures I was gonna take of myself, haha.

The other things that we did this weekend was relax, pick up a new stand for the TV in our living room (which looks fantastic btw!), and go see the newest installment of the hobbit. Overall, it was a great fun and relaxing weekend. Only two days till Christmas and I am just so excited for S to open his presents! I have a really hard time buying gifts for someone and then having to wait to give it to them. Thankfully we're doing our gifts Christmas Eve, so I technically only have to wait one day.

I suddenly felt like giving the apartment a little deep cleaning, so I have been occupied with that. But I am proud to say that I finished my cleaning, and hopefully it will stay this way for a while.

Obsessed with Glasses

Now you probably wouldn't be able to tell this from looking through my instagram pictures, but I wear glasses. Now on a day to day basis I actually wear contacts which is why you wouldn't be able to tell, because I don't always post pictures when I wear glasses. But even though I don't post that many pictures I actually own 4 pairs of glasses. All of which I have accumulated in the past two years. Now this is partially because my last job was at an eye doctors office and it is really easy to look at all the new frames that come in all the time, and two because there are so many places that you can buy them online. That being said I have two pairs that I bought from the office I used to work at and two that I bought online.

I currently have a brown pair

These were the first pair I purchased from the office that I worked at, and my favorite thing about them is the animal print detail on the sides.

A black pair

This is the second pair that I purchased from the office I worked at, and I like these because one you can never go wrong with coach and two because they are just a basic black pair of glasses that pretty much go with everything. 

A red pair

These I got online through Firmoo.com and while I like the color okay the fit itself is not that great.

And a grey pair

These were purchased online from coastal.com and I like these because of the large lenses and they are kind of my nerd glasses, haha. 

And then there is the pair that I want. These beauties from Warby Parker.

I have been searching for the perfect pair of purple glasses, because purple is my favorite color. I really think that these might be the ones. They're not too large, they are a good price at only $95 for the glasses and lenses, and the company itself seems pretty great.

I do find it just a little funny that considering the fact that I wear contacts on a daily basis that I am so glasses obsessed. But glasses to me are an accessory that you can use to add something to an outfit. I actually like to wear them when I want to feel smarter or focus on something (it really works for me). I also like to wear them every so often just to give my eyes a break from my contacts.

So there you have it glasses are one of my favorite accessories to wear, what is your favorite accessory?

Techie Tuesday: C25K

Hey guys! Today for Techie Tuesday I want to talk about a specific app. This app is called C25K (Free), Couch to 5K. So I have been trying to start a workout regimen, and I would mostly prefer to use the treadmill, or the elliptical machine. The elliptical I am pretty ok with doing on my own, since I have decent knowledge of how to make the best of my time using it, the treadmill on the other hand is a different story. Most of the time I would  just hop on the treadmill and run/ randomly jog until I reached a mile, but it never felt very exciting or engaging. Enter the C25K app that I actually found because the lovely Whit over at I Wore Yoga Pants, uses it for her workouts, so I took a chance and downloaded it to see if I thought it would work for me.

It is fantastic. 

It's honestly the first time that I have been on a treadmill and have not felt incredibly bored or under-motivated. To be entirely honestly I got this impression from the app after 1 use! If you are looking for something to shake up your treadmill routine then this just might be it.

I also like that it is incredibly versatile to use, now it says in the app that you can use your music within the app which is totally true, but personally I like to watch Netflix while I work out because it helps me hold focus longer. So, it was nice to know that when I am watching Netflix I still get the notifications that let me know when I need to switch between walking and running.

Why do I have to wait 3 months ABC?

Honestly even though I did do some productive things this weekend, none of them were entirely exciting, and I took zero pictures. (bad blogger) Anyways, the weekend was pretty chill, the only thing that S and I really did this weekend was brave the mall to finish up the last bit of Christmas shopping. It was a hectic and crazy mess, and we tried to get in and out as fast as possible. Other than that it was a weekend of relaxing a little housekeeping around the apartment.

Now we need to move on to the real point of this post. The fact that the winter finale of Once Upon a Time just aired and now we have to wait 3 MONTHS for the season to start again. Thank you ABC, for getting me hooked on this show.

I just have to say I think that this cast is just perfect for this show and the roles that they play. This show constantly mesmerizes, and enchants me, and of course always keeps me guessing. When I got to the end of the winter finale, I was about to SCREAM thinking that they were gonna end the show. But thankfully there was one more scene in which our favorite pirate, Captain Hook, comes back to let us all know that the show is not ending and that Emma's family needs some help. I practically screamed YAY when that happened. I am so so so happy that the show will go on! 

(On a side note, I'm not too fond of the Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, that is a spinoff but involves Alice in Wonderland. Alice is great and all but for some reason I haven't really been able to get into it.)

The day has finally arrived! It's the great Secret Santa Swap Reveal the swap was hosted by the lovely Allie over at Tales of a Twenty Something. So I bought for Jess over at Stamp in my Passport, and I hope she enjoys her gifts!

5 Reasons why Chinese Food is Bad for Diets

Why is Chinese food just so darn tempting, and bad for diets?

1. Because you can call in and have it delivered 99.9% of the time. Food that I don't have to actually put on makeup and real clothes to go get, uh WINNER.

2. It smells and tastes delicious, and is generally enough food for two meals.
