My Favorite iPhone Photo Editing App

Hey y'all, and welcome to another edition of Techie Tuesday! Today I am sharing my favorite iPhone editing app with y'all. Though it might seem weird, I really do only have solely one app that I use on my iPhone for editing picture. It is a fantastic app called: A Beautiful Mess. It's also probably the best 99 cents that I have ever spent.

It was created by two lovely ladies, who also blog over at their blog, also named A Beautiful Mess.
So feel free to jump over to the photo credit link to read their post about the app and why they created it or just hop over to iTunes and purchase it if you as just so eager to try it out. I promise that you won't regret it, because this app does everything that you could possibly want.

Download on iTunes>>>>here

As always feel free to grab the button, link-up, and share some techie advice with everyone!

My Fingerprints are My Worst Enemy

Hey guys, and welcome to another installment of Techie Tuesday! If you are a techie (like I am) or just someone who loves the latest and greatest gadgets then you probably snapped up a new iPhone 5s as soon as you possibly could. You played around with out new phone, and set up one of it's awesome new features Touch ID, which allowed you to use you fingers to unlock your phone. Amazing right? I thought so, until about 2-ish months later, my touch ID wasn't working for me 100% of the time. Heck it wasn't working 50% of the time. So after lots of deleting and reentering my finger prints I came across this article and WALAH, problem solved!

Basically the article says that you should one, input your finger prints while holding the phone the way you would normally hold it while unlocking it vs setting it down on a table. Two, you want to input you most used fingers more than once. BOOM. It's the simplest of solutions but it really helps improve the accuracy of the fingerprint reader. Make the jump if you want to read the entire article, and be sure to grab the button and link up your techie posts below for everyone to check out and enjoy. Thanks!

Gifts of Great Joy

It's Techie Tuesday and I am just here to share a quick tip with y'all since i've got some Christmas Eve celebrating to do. So if you are a big iPhone user you probably know that something that iPhone users have been waiting for was just released this past Sunday. The first jailbreak for iOS 7! Now I have never been that big into the whole jailbreak thing, but S is so I decided to try it out and jailbreak my iPad. Now honestly I haven't gotten a lot of use out of the jailbreak yet because they are still updating somethings, like the Cydia store which is where you can download tweaks for your iDevice.

If you decide to go ahead and jailbreak your phone this biggest thing that you want to remember is to back up your device first. That way just in case something goes wrong you can always restore your phone with that back up.

Download it here>>>>iOS 7 Jailbreak

Rocking Around the Christmas Tree

It's the week of everyone using Christmas lyrics as blog post titles (guilty raises hand), but hey there is no shame in that they make fantastic titles. So anyways I'm here to do a little weekend recap and share a cute Christmas graphic that I made from one of my favorite movie quotes. {Warning - lots of selfies!}
On Friday S brought me a Kit Kat home as a little surprise, and we took some cute pictures this weekend. :)

Sometimes when I put on my Ray-bans I like to pretend that I'm a cop.

I took a few (a ton) of selfies this weekend to the point that S asked me how many pictures I was gonna take of myself, haha.

The other things that we did this weekend was relax, pick up a new stand for the TV in our living room (which looks fantastic btw!), and go see the newest installment of the hobbit. Overall, it was a great fun and relaxing weekend. Only two days till Christmas and I am just so excited for S to open his presents! I have a really hard time buying gifts for someone and then having to wait to give it to them. Thankfully we're doing our gifts Christmas Eve, so I technically only have to wait one day.

And I'm going to leave you today with one of my favorite quotes from my all time favorite Christmas movie! Come back tomorrow for my link-up Techie Tuesday!

Techie Tuesday: C25K

Hey guys! Today for Techie Tuesday I want to talk about a specific app. This app is called C25K (Free), Couch to 5K. So I have been trying to start a workout regimen, and I would mostly prefer to use the treadmill, or the elliptical machine. The elliptical I am pretty ok with doing on my own, since I have decent knowledge of how to make the best of my time using it, the treadmill on the other hand is a different story. Most of the time I would  just hop on the treadmill and run/ randomly jog until I reached a mile, but it never felt very exciting or engaging. Enter the C25K app that I actually found because the lovely Whit over at I Wore Yoga Pants, uses it for her workouts, so I took a chance and downloaded it to see if I thought it would work for me.

It is fantastic.
It's honestly the first time that I have been on a treadmill and have not felt incredibly bored or under-motivated. To be entirely honestly I got this impression from the app after 1 use! If you are looking for something to shake up your treadmill routine then this just might be it.

I also like that it is incredibly versatile to use, now it says in the app that you can use your music within the app which is totally true, but personally I like to watch Netflix while I work out because it helps me hold focus longer. So, it was nice to know that when I am watching Netflix I still get the notifications that let me know when I need to switch between walking and running.

You can download it for iPhone here>>>>C25K

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

It's 27 degrees here in Texas! WHAT?! I know, I know everyone freaks out when it snows/ sleets/ ices/ in Texas because Texans have a hard time handling cold weather & or icy road conditions. Not this gal! Even though I was born and raised here in Texas most of my dad's family, including his parents who live here in Texas are from up north where snow and blizzards are the norm. So even as a Texan I was never raised to be afraid of a little snow and ice, especially since Texas generally makes it into a little bit bigger of a deal than it generally is. This is half because, 1. Since Texas rarely sees snow, it is ill equipped to handle snow/ ice situations, and 2. Because most people that live in Texas have no idea of the precautions to take to still be safe driving in snow/ ice. So there is that, and since I could probably go on for days about that I'm just gonna go ahead and move on to what I really came to show y'all today.

It's it pretty? :) It's really just about an inch of ice, and is not good for making snow balls. But at least its nice to look out the window and see everything draped in a blanket of white.

I was a good blogger and suited up in my winter coat, boots, and scarf and braved the cold to take some pictures, because obviously I should document this because it is quite the rare occurrence here.

As you can see by my hair its windy outside and that was a fun element to work with when trying to take pictures. (No not really)

So there is my snow day documented for posterity.

Another good thing about the snow day is that  S gets to work from home because the roads are actually too dangerous for him to make his trek to work. So it's nice to have a four day weekend with him. I'm thinking Netflix, movies, hot chocolate, and lots of snuggling is in order!

Introducing Techie Tuesday!

Hey y'all so I am here to introduce not only my first link up hosted on this blog, but also the first link up that I have ever created! I am excited to introduce Techie Tuesday: Useful gadget tips & tricks. Being the little tech junkie that I am I figure it would be nice to have a place for me to share tips that I have learned or useful tips that I have found on the interwebz. So every Tuesday I will post a new tip or trick and there will be a button for you to grab if you would like to link up and share a tip of your own!

Since I am a HUGE fan of Lifehacker, my first Techie Tuesday tip is going to come from them. They just recently posted an article called with links to the Most Popular How-To Guides of 2013 (Check the full article out here>>>Most Popular How-To Guides of 2013), but my actual tip of the week comes from another article listed within this guide called How to Fix iOS 7's Biggest Annoyances. Personally I think that if you are an iPhone user you should make it a priority to check it out! These tips tell you have to turn off some new, but not totally useful features, and how to get some of your old settings back if you truly loved iOS 6. So that's my tip of the week, feel free to link in your tips below, and grab the button!
