Talk About Exciting!

I had a fantastic, great, amazing-ness weekend! And hope that you all did too! So obvisouly I am here today to share with y'all the deets of why I had such a great weekend. Well for starters there was a good balance of laziness (which I definitely needed after my first week of school) and just general fun.

We went to this awesome place called Hyena's Comedy Nightclub and it was a blast! The comedians were funny, and they had some rockin cheesesticks. And then I took a very exhausted selfie just before going to bed.
I watched some Netflix (cause I learned how to get Canadian Netflix! If you don't know how google it, and then proceed to watch a ton of awesome movies cause they have way more than the U.S.)
I thirteen homework assignments that I needed to complete in 3 days. EEEK. I got a couple done on Saturday, most done on Sunday, and still have a few things to finish up today for my classes that I have tomorrow.
And then there was probably the MOST MOST MOST exciting point of my weekend was when S and I went shopping and I finally got an external monitor to hook my macbook up to, and a awesome new keyboard that types like a charm! I was a little worried at first that I wouldn't like such a large screen but after hooking it up and working with it for a few hours i'm officially enchanted!

So that was my weekend in a nutshell, and I am linking up with Lisa over at Showered by Design!

It's Gonna be a Busy Week

So i'm popping in here today just to do a little weekend recap. S & I had a long day on Saturday when we went to move some furniture into my mom's new apartment. And I took a selfie or two.....

Then after that we pretty much spent the rest of the weekend binge watching this show, and we finally finished it! If you haven't watched Orange is the New Black, go do it now. Honestly I thought it was a little out there at first, but once you really get into it it's hilarious!

We also split a can of spaghettio's because they are pretty much amazeballs.

And that was S & I's little busy, but still super low key weekend. I hope y'all all had a great weekend, and check back tomorrow for a new installment of Techie Tuesday and Fit Tip Tuesday with TSOH (The Skinny on Health)!

A Lazy Weekend

Today I have a weekend recap for you with a whole lot of pictures, and very few words. It was a lazy weekend and there is a lot of stuff that i've got to do today and I want to spend a little less time on the computer, considering I spent pretty much the entire weekend on it, haha.
I made copycat Chipotle corn salsa from Erin over at Two Thirds Hazel & I got a haircut.
I spent a lot of time on the computer watching the Walking Dead, writing blog posts, & updating my Kindle library.
I worked on honing my Rayman skillz (haha) & S and I had some hot drinks on a cold night :)

Why do I have to wait 3 months ABC?

Honestly even though I did do some productive things this weekend, none of them were entirely exciting, and I took zero pictures. (bad blogger) Anyways, the weekend was pretty chill, the only thing that S and I really did this weekend was brave the mall to finish up the last bit of Christmas shopping. It was a hectic and crazy mess, and we tried to get in and out as fast as possible. Other than that it was a weekend of relaxing a little housekeeping around the apartment.

Now we need to move on to the real point of this post. The fact that the winter finale of Once Upon a Time just aired and now we have to wait 3 MONTHS for the season to start again. Thank you ABC, for getting me hooked on this show.

I just have to say I think that this cast is just perfect for this show and the roles that they play. This show constantly mesmerizes, and enchants me, and of course always keeps me guessing. When I got to the end of the winter finale, I was about to SCREAM thinking that they were gonna end the show. But thankfully there was one more scene in which our favorite pirate, Captain Hook, comes back to let us all know that the show is not ending and that Emma's family needs some help. I practically screamed YAY when that happened. I am so so so happy that the show will go on!

(On a side note, I'm not too fond of the Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, that is a spinoff but involves Alice in Wonderland. Alice is great and all but for some reason I haven't really been able to get into it.)

So tell me do you watch Once Upon a Time? What did you think of the winter finale?

Guide Us to Thy Perfect Light

The title may or may not have come from the fact that I am currently listening to the Holiday Hits station on iTunes radio. Haha, but seriously I love me some Christmas music. It just makes me happy and want to throw sparkly confetti and glitter everywhere and buy cute Christmas decorations.

Moving on to the real reason of this post - to tell you about the weekend that I had. It was actually really great getting to spend 4 whole days with S considering that he didn't have to work. Overall we had a pretty low key weekend, just watched some movies and browsed the interwebz (or video games for him). On Thanksgiving day we went out to eat with S's parents and brother and then spent the rest of the day playing Super Mario 3D World with his dad and brother.

Now let me tell you this game was super FUN! And it's totally a bonus that it is a four player game so more people can get in on the action. From different mini worlds to explore to power-ups that let you turn into cute colored cats this game was just all around fun. I would definitely recommend it as a gift for a group of siblings for Christmas or even big families that like to play games together.

S and I also took a cute picture that I edited with the A Beautiful Mess app to turn into a cute little Thanksgiving greeting. (BTW the best, and my favorite, photo editing app EVER.)

Other than that like I said earlier it was a low key weekend just spent enjoying relaxing. S and I did go my moms side of the family's Thanksgiving on Saturday, but I didn't take any picture of the day. But it was filled with food and a intense card game that my family like to play called Screw Your Neighbor (Think UNO but with a regular deck of cards). So there you have it my weekend in a nutshell. Come back on Tuesday for a post and link-up that I'm creating called Techie Tuesday!
